I think Tiger and Turtle is a wonderful written and illustrated book. It shows that friendship is more important than material things. The illustrations are very bright and colorful with beautiful details.  Rumford’s word choice is magnificent with short and to the point passages on each page which keeps children’s interest inside the book. The book is about a tiger and turtle that live in a forest. They realize that neither one could ever hurt the other so they never fight until a stray flower falls down. Both animals want the flower and it is not until they fall off a cliffthat they realize there are many flowers not just one. I would highly recommend this book be in the classroom library as well as a home library. It‘s a wonderful book to help children when they are having trouble with friends and friendships.
